BOOK , A LANDSCAPE OF POSSIBILITIES
2024.10.15 - 2024.11.10책을 가까이 하기에 좋은 시월 , 그림이 된 책으로 만나뵙겠습니다 -------------------------------------- 그림을 그려나가는 시간 동안 무엇이 힘의 중심에서서 만들어가는 것일까? 나인가? 화면 인가? 아니면 완성이라는 추상적 상념에 따른 행위인가? 작업이라는 것이 완성되어 질 상념이 어느 정도 있어야지만 진행이 되어진다. 하지만 최근의 변화에서 분명해진 것은 그 결과물이 그 상념과 가까울 수도, 멀 수도 있는 어떤 한 가지 결과물로 귀결되어진다는 것이다.마치 양자 도약과도 같이 관찰 전에는 어디에도 있지만 관찰되어지는 순간 어느 한 지점에만 존재하는 입자처럼 말이다. 그 귀결되어지는 위치, 즉 결과물의 보여지는 모든 함축적 존재는 이젠 더 이상 세상의 중심에서의 역할은 상실되어졌다는 것이다. 아니 정확히 말하자면 관심에서 제외 되어버린 것이다. 결과물은 귀결되어진 결론에서 이전과 이후를 넘나드는 매개체의 역할로 전환되어 간다. 적어도 내 그림에서는 그렇다는 것이다. - 2024.6 작가노트 중 During the time spent drawing, what is it that is being created from the center of power? Is it me? The canvas? Or is it an act derived from the abstract notion of completion? The act of creation seems to require a certain degree of the notion that it will be completed in order to proceed. However, what has recently become clear is that the resulting work can be close to or far from that notion, culminating in some kind of result. It's akin to quantum leaps; before observation, a particle exists nowhere, but upon observation, it exists at a single point. This resultant position, the implied existence of the visible outcome, no longer plays a role at the center of the world. To be precise, it has become excluded from interest. The result transitions from being a concluded outcome to a medium that traverses before and after that conclusion. At least in my drawings, that is the case. - Work Journal. June 6, 2024
